ROMANIA

It is a specific symbol in Romania, Oltenia region under the mountain, because in the local oral mythology, people believed that they were closer to the sky. The Stars fulfilled multiple, mythical roles. They were born from the primordial waters, together with the cosmic tree; they are sprinkles that stay on the cosmic tree, the Fir; "most are angels with whom God stayed on earth longer to examine people, and those who fell in love with the earthly realms...he fixed them as stars in the sky, between heaven and earth. Only one star - an angel, who loved too much a being from the world of clay, the spark was so strong that it was about to set the sky on fire, and God crushed it and brought the angel down, in the earthly spark - The Firefly (Papadima, O. 2009)
